MTG: Final Fantasy VIII - Scene Box - Children of Fate The Children of Fate Scene Box is based on Final Fantasy VIII, which originally came out on PS1 in 1999
It requires some dedicated support to get it out early, thanks to its eight mana cost, but once its out there, the opponents will have a hard time dislodging it
Supply shortages are not an issue for the latest expansions, but rare Enchanted cards remain elusive and desirable among players
They've really done the eerie feel of the song's imagery justice, and the art includes some of Bruno's prophecies from the lyrics (like the dying pet fish or the guy who develops a bit of gut)
There are also ways in Golgari to buff creatures, so if you increase Jenova's power, you can both buff your other creatures more, and draw even more cards when they die
However, the last part of the ability will check how much life you've gained as the ability resolves, so if you've only gained 5 life this turn by the time the end step comes around, you could still gain 2 more life while this ability is on the stack in order to return the target creature card to the battlefield instead of your hand
